About

Much of what I learned about art in college was ironically, by writing about it. It was something of a passion for me then, and I wish to reconnect with that again. When in school I studied traditional art forms mainly painting, and drawing. I am no authority, but by writing again I hope to gain some insights into art which are uniquely my own.

There is a language that connects all forms of art and when the work is looked at objectively, many interesting concepts arise in respect to the fundamental issues of art making. This is what interests me about art and art theory, and what I am trying to explore as best I can with words.

I have a BFA, concentrating in Painting. I graduated Edinboro University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude in the Fall Semester of 2006. For a brief stint I was editor of an art column in the Spectator, the college news publication. Currently I am a practicing artist in Lakewood, Ohio.

Sincerely,

Scott Fischer
